GST and audit season — keep Tally and mail online

· KC Cloud

Filing weeks and audit visits compress the same work into fewer days: more people in Tally, more PDF exports, more mail with banks and CAs. Small gaps that were fine in April become emergencies in peak season. A short readiness pass beats overnight firefighting.

Capacity before the rush

Confirm concurrent seats match how many people will sit in books together — owners, staff, and the CA firm. If last year felt slow only in the last week of the month, you already have your answer; see sizing concurrent users. Add access for auditors with named logins, not one shared password.

Backups you can restore

Know where yesterday’s company backup lives and that someone has restored a test copy this quarter. “Backup exists on the same disk as production” is not a plan. Our backup habits note covers off-site copies and restore drills.

Status page and one support path

Bookmark kccloud.in/status before the crunch. If the board is green and your login fails, say so in the ticket with time and product name — that is faster than a WhatsApp chain guessing ISP vs server. Ticket habits matter most when everyone is busy.

Mail and domain renewals

Expired domains and half-broken MX records surface when invoices and OTPs must go out the same afternoon. Confirm domain renewal dates and that business email still delivers to an external test inbox.

Skip risky changes in the last 72 hours

Do not migrate hosting, rewrite DNS, or change remote VPN paths three days before a filing deadline unless support is already booked for that window. Stage those moves in a quiet week.
